NOVUM Hospitality Recruiting Film

Unikate

In the interview: Poto Omanga

Who are you?

My name is Poto Omanga.

Where are you from?

My name is Poto Omanga and I come from the Democratic Republic of Congo. My Family came to Germany when I was three years old. I spent most of my life in Stuttgart. I also consider Stuttgart my home.

What do you do at NOVUM Hospitality?

I am the Front Office Manager at the Novum Alpenhotel Bayerischer Hof, our only Alpine hotel. I mainly work with two wonderful colleagues and a trainee at the reception . The tasks are very varied. I also support the management in the organization and administration of the hotel. If other departments need support, we help each other. I love being in the restaurant the most, especially because of the exercise that I get. at the reception.

Why NOVUM Hospitality?

At first, Novum had made me curious because of its philosophy and its ambitious goals. I wanted to be part of it and make my contribution. I worked at several locations and got to know many great colleagues who I now count among my friends. To this day, this decision is one of the best I have ever made.

What are your goals?

My goal is to run my own hotel.

What is your heart's desire privately or professionally?

Professionally, what is most important to me is the knowledge, but especially the enthusiasm and love for my job and the hotel industry, that I have experienced myself. In my private life, I now allow myself the luxury of being satisfied with everything I have achieved. The most important thing is that all my loved ones are healthy.

Which story at Novum was the funniest for you or moved you the most?

Surprisingly, this has accumulated so much that it is very difficult for me to pick one out:

  • My first interview in Stuttgart - that was a car ride with my director, who showed me new perspectives.
  • The image film that I was allowed to take part in.
  • Many , many meetings and conversations with colleagues after work.

Oh yes: And by the way, I was also THE “employee of the month”, which still amazes me today.
