Situated on the western shore of Lake Constance, Constance has much to offer with its historic old town, beautiful lakeside promenade and many recreational opportunities. The old town attracts visitors with the winding alleys of the medieval district of Niederburg, the town hall and the impressive Cathedral of Our Lady. The three-nave columned basilica is one of the largest Romanesque churches in southwestern Germany.

After a shopping spree or sightseeing in the city, a break at the lakeside is a good idea. At the entrance to the harbor you will find the landmark of the city of Constance: the statue of Imperia, created in 1993 by the artist Peter Lenk.
